Caring Paws is proud to support Suncoast Animal League - a local no kill, no time limit 501c rescue agency helping both domestic animals and wildlife.
We are the proud sponsor of the "Running of the Wieners" during Suncoast’s annual Dogtoberfest event, held each November at Highlander Park in Dunedin.
Dr. Danielson also volunteers his time on multiple occasions throughout the year examining and treating rescued dogs and cats on behalf of the organization. He and his family have fostered many cats, dogs, puppies and kittens for Suncoast – as a matter of fact several of his personal pets are "foster failures."
You can learn more about Suncoast Animal League by visiting them on Facebook.
Puppy Bowl 2025
Caring Paws Animal Hospital is a proud perennial sponsor of Puppy Bowl X, benefiting the Suncoast Animal League, a local 501(c)(3) no-kill, no-time-limit animal rescue organization dedicated to saving and enriching the lives of animals in need.
Dr. Danielson has been a long-time supporter of Suncoast, volunteering his time to examine hundreds of rescued dogs and cats over the past 15+ years. Along with his family, he has personally fostered over 100 dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens for this incredible group.
Join us on Saturday, February 9th, from 12 PM to 3 PM at HOB Brewing Company, 931 Huntley Ave, Dunedin, FL, for a day of fun and giving back. Enjoy our Puppy Bowl with adoptable puppies, vendors, professional pet photography on the gridiron, raffles, and "pick-the-winners" prizes. Come for the puppy love and help support a great cause!
Cypress’s Journey: From Despair to Hope
Cypress, a 12-year-old dog, was found alone in the woods during a hurricane, emaciated, entangled in vines, and suffering from severe health issues, including malnutrition, anemia, osteoarthritis, and more. Rescued by a compassionate landowner and Hillsborough County Animal Services, she was stabilized before being entrusted to Suncoast Animal League and brought to Caring Paws Animal Hospital for intensive care.
At Caring Paws, Cypress underwent a battery of treatments, including medicated baths, injections, and physical therapy, gradually regaining strength and trust. She found safety during another storm in the loving home of Dr. Danielson, who continued her recovery with laser therapy and care.
Throughout her journey, a kind-hearted man named Ed followed her progress and expressed his desire to adopt her. After fostering her and continuing her treatments, Ed officially adopted Cypress on November 14th.
Now thriving, Cypress spends her days napping, wagging her tail, and enjoying short walks with Ed.
Cypress’s story is a testament to resilience, compassion, and the power of rescue. Her best days are finally here.
